Policy 35.19 Prioritize park acquisition and improvements that involve under -represented <br />open recreation and healthy living activities (outside the scope of organized sports), such <br />as: <br />a) Walking and biking trails <br />Action 35.,d Partner with government, private and nonprofit agencies, and other <br />stakeholders to initiate joint agreements for funding, management, and maintenance for <br />recreation, shared use spaces, hardened shelters, and public access priorities. <br />Action 35.cc Expand active open recreational opportunities at the Pana`ewa Rainforest <br />Zoo and Equestrian Center properties such as bike/walking trails, horse trails, dog - <br />friendly trails, and other outdoor recreation that would complement the Pana`ewa <br />complex. <br />5.0 Thriving, Diverse, and Regenerative Economy;, 4.1 Visitor Industry Goal, Objectives, <br />Policies, and Actions <br />Objective 48 <br />Support the visitor industry investment in its connection with communities, the `aina, and <br />our historic and multicultural heritage. <br />Policy 48.6 Support the coordination, collaboration, and improvement of public access to <br />natural and <br />cultural resources with State agencies and landowners while balancing the need for <br />protection of these areas. <br />
