COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23 " 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO LYDIA8 TO ASSIST <br />WITH EXPENSES FOR THE KONA TOWN NIGHT MARKET 2025: BACK TO <br />SCHOOL EDITION. <br />WHEREAS, Lydia8 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to cultivate <br />transformative artistic and cultural opportunities for wahine of Hawaii to mobilize their <br />communities and create real change; and <br />WHEREAS, Lydia8 is requesting funds to assist with expenses for bilingual signage, <br />light towers, public safety and security personnel, refreshments for volunteers, zero waste <br />supplies and staffing, craft supplies for keiki activities and sound and lighting production <br />equipment, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the <br />interests of culture and the arts, educational concerns, needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those <br />with physical or emotional disabilities, public health and welfare of the people and the <br />environment; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Lydia8 for the expenses and purposes <br />identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $6,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $6,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $6,000 <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc.
