REQUEST: <br />6/9/25 <br />808-960-3602 <br />Accept donation of a new security camera system for the Pana'ewa Park and Covered Play Courts in <br />Pana'ewa, Hawai'i. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />On January'27, 2025, the Pana'ewa Covered Play Courts were broken into, resulting in the theft of <br />Automated External Defibrillator (AED) equipment valued at approximately $1,200.00. <br />Shortly thereafter,. on January 31, 2025, the Pana'ewa Community Center, along with the adjacent personnel <br />office, was also broken into and vandalized. This second incident resulted in an estimated $1,500.00 in <br />property damage. <br />In, response to these unfortunate events Blue Shield Security is proud to support the safety and well-being of <br />the Pana'ewa community. As part of grti'commitment to protecting local recreational facilities, we are <br />donating a complete security camera system, including: four :(4) 4mp security cameras w/built in flood lights <br />and new wire/accessories, one (1) 4K DVR recorder w/30-day storage, full installation and labor, <br />comprehensive training, a five-year warranty on parts included, remote access from phones and internet, 24- <br />48 hr services if any issues, and signage. <br />The total value of this donation is $4,500.00 <br />Blue'Shield Security Hawaii <br />Attn: Lon Apaka <br />808-769-3663 <br />SIGNED DATE: <br />Department Head <br />
