During that time, he has developed a deep <br />connection to the community and its environmental needs. <br />Mr. Canelas holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Baruch College and an <br />Associate Degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Hudson Valley Community College. Currently, <br />he serves as Operations Director for Recycle Hawaii, where his dedication to promoting <br />sustainability and environmental stewardship is evident in his work. His commitment to a <br />cleaner and more sustainable Hawaii is apparent in the initiatives he champions, which aim to <br />protect our natural resources for future generations. <br />Mr. Canelas is eager to bring his expertise and passion for environmental issues to the EMC. <br />His understanding of sustainability challenges and his proactive approach will be invaluable to <br />the Commission. <br />If confirmed, Mr. Canelas term will end on January 31, 2028.
