In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project <br />Mountain View Elementary School is proud to host a special Alumni Dinner on July 25, 2025, in Hilo, Hawaii. This memorable evening will bring together former <br />students, teachers, and community members to reconnect and celebrate the enduring legacy of one of Hawaii Island's cherished public schools. The dinner serves as a <br />meaningful precursor to the school's upcoming 120th anniversary —an exciting milestone that honors more than a century of educational service. Founded in 1905, <br />Mountain View Elementary has been a cornerstone of the Puna community, shaping generations of learners with care and commitment This alumni gathering will <br />celebrate that legacy with food, fellowship, and shared memories spanning decades. It's also a chance to look ahead, with updates on the school's plans for the future <br />and opportunities to support the upcoming anniversary festivities. This event promises to be a heartfelt tribute to a school that continues to inspire. We invite all alumni <br />and supporters to join us on July 25 as we begin the countdown to 120 years of excellence in education. <br />*50.501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />The Mountain View Elementary PTA supports the welfare and education of children by promoting strong family -school partnerships, advocating for student health and <br />safety, and encouraging community engagement In line with state and national PTAs, we work to raise home life standards, support responsible education funding, and <br />foster environments where all children can thrive. <br />*31. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) Is connected to the project <br />The Mountain View Elementary PTA is proud, to support the upcoming Alumni Dinner by partnering with the school and community huh to help organize and implement <br />the event. As part of its mission to strengthen school -community ties, the PTA is assisting with obtaining funding, outreach, and volunteer coordination to ensure a <br />successful and memorable evening. The PTA continues its commitment to honoring the school's 120-year legacy and fostering connections among past and present <br />members of the Mountain View `ohana. <br />*52. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these funds. <br />With support from the County of Hawar i, the Mountain View Elementary PTA aims to achieve several measurable outcomes through the Alumni Dinner, a key event <br />leading up to the school's 120th anniversary. The requested funding will directly support planning, outreach, and implementation, helping to ensure broad community <br />impact and long-term benefits. Measurable outcomes include: Attendance Goal: Host at least 150 alumni, staff, and community members at the dinner, fostering <br />intergenerational connection and pride in the school's legacy. Community Engagement: Reconnect with at least 200 alumni through outreach efforts (emalls, social <br />media, and flyers), strengthening ties with the broader Mountain View'ohana. Volunteer Mobilization: Engage at least 25 volunteers, including parents, alumni, and <br />students, in event coordination, setup, hospitality, and cleanup, promoting civic involvement Anniversary Support Network: Identify at least 10 alumni or community <br />members interested in supporting or participating in the 120th anniversary celebration planning committee. Legacy Building: Collect a minimum of 50 alumni stories, <br />photos, or historical items to contribute to a digital archive or memory wall that will be displayed during the anniversary year. The dinner will serve as both a celebration <br />and a catalyst, building momentum and community investment in the anniversary and in the school's future. Through this event, the PTA hopes to strengthen school - <br />community bonds, highlight local educational history, and cultivate ongoing support for Mountain View Elementary. <br />*55.
