ONSV OF N- CA' COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I ;.;� �e.�.• rE of'N;►.N RESOLUTION NO. 258 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO USA VOLLEYBALL, INC., FOR ITS HAWAI`I ISLAND LABOR DAY CLASSIC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT. WHEREAS, USA Volleyball, Inc. (UVI), doing business as Moku O Keawe, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to: 1) develop, standardize, and coordinate volleyball activities on the local level, 2) develop players, coaches, and officials on the local level, 3) provide opportunities for members to participate and improve their volleyball skills in a competitive, safe, and healthy environment, and 4) stimulate participation and growth at all levels of play; and WHEREAS, UVI is requesting funds relating to its Hawaii Island Labor Day Classic Volleyball Tournament for volleyballs and for officiating and referee fees, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests and needs of the youth; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to UVI for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $2,500 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,500 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,500 P&R Admin OCE 115 Misc.
