To support our mission to steward the historic theater building, we program fun, thoughtful, educational and inspiring events for our community to enjoy. October 26, 2025 marks 100 years since the Palace Theater in Downtown Hilo first opened its doors to the community. This year, we are providing a weekend of entertainment and celebration to commemorate our Centennial anniversary. The full Centennial Weekend Celebrations include a Thursday night Gala, a live music festival on Saturday and a Silent Movie screening on Sunday, but we are specifically requesting your support for the free Centennial Masquerade concert on Fri Oct 24. The Masquerade is an all - ages concert and DJ dance party headlined by local band Leche De Tigre. Live entertainment is a luxury for many, but lYs Important for it to be accessible to all: 96% of our post -show survey respondents in 2024 agreed that attending live events made them feel more connected to their community.
