In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />The Hawaii Island All Nations Powwow is a community event bringing together the diverse cultures of our host culture Native Hawaiians, Native American Nations, and <br />our community to come together and celebrate our diversity. The Powwow promotes our cultures and offers cross cultural experiences for the community and members. <br />*43.501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />Grassroots Community Development Group's mission is to strenghten our communities through the cooperative development of programs and services for east Hawai'l, <br />and to promote quality programs for youth and families. <br />*44. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project <br />GCDG has been promoting and supporting Native Hawaiian cultural projects since 2009 when it's Kea'au Youth Business Center hosted a cultural exchange between local <br />youth and Native American tribal youth from Canada and the continent. GCDG has also been fiscal sponsor for the Annual HI Island All -Nations Powwow event since <br />2022. This will be Its 4th year as fiscal sponsor. <br />*45. Please upload a completed CRF Grant Budget Form. <br />Powwow crf budoet Ashley 2025.x1sx <br />Public Purpose of Requested Funds <br />Per §2-138 of the Hawari County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), the County may grant an award only if the proposed program or service provides direct public <br />benefits and fulfills a public purpose within the County. <br />46. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the Interests in the following areas. Please select all the public benefits <br />to be derived from your County fund request: <br />Culture and the arts <br />Educational concerns <br />Public health and welfare of the people and the environment <br />*47. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these funds. <br />Assist approximately 100 Native American singers, dancers, bibal practitioners to participate in cultural exchange Powwow; To host approximately 1500 community <br />members and visitors in cultural event celebrating Native American culture; Engage at least two local schools in learning about Native American culture from mainland <br />tribal members. <br />*48.
