Alameda of Council District 3 to the Water Board. <br />Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members, <br />I am pleased to nominate Mr. Guy S. Alameda of Council District 3 to the Water Board. <br />Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, Mr. Alameda is a proud graduate of Hilo High School's Class of <br />1981. He then enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, demonstrating his <br />commitment to service and country, and served honorably for over six years. <br />Over the past 35 years, Mr. Alameda has made significant contributions to Hawaiian Electric, <br />culminating in his role as a power plant senior supervisor, where he helped manage the entire <br />island's electrical grid with leadership and expertise. <br />In retirement, Mr. Alameda is eager to give back to our island community through the Water <br />Board. As a proud beneficiary of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands in Keaukaha, he is <br />an active member and volunteers with the Keaukaha Community Association. <br />With his professional experience and dedication to community service, Mr. Alameda is an <br />excellent candidate for the Water BoardAf confirmed, Mr. Alameda's term will end on December <br />31, 2027.
