In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />Kupuna Day is a community celebration honoring the kupuna of North Kohala—the grandparents, elders, and wisdom <br />keepers who continue to nurture our families and strengthen our community. This one -day event, hosted by the Kohala <br />Resilience Hub —a program of the North Kohala Community Resource Center —will take place on September 6, 2025, at <br />the Kohala Village Hub in H5w7, and aims to bring kupuna together with their'ohana in a joyful and supportive setting. <br />The event will feature live entertainment by local musicians, a free nutritious meal, and a welcoming space for social <br />connection and intergenerational bonding. In addition to the festivities, Kupuna Day will provide access to a broad range <br />of critical community resources. Informational booths will be hosted by local agencies and service providers to help <br />kupuna better understand and navigate healthcare services, home care and hospice options, senior day care programs, <br />food assistance (including SNAP benefits), transportation options, and other available support networks. <br />* 52.501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />Provide local support, funding, and education for projects that will benefit the community of North Kohala. <br />* 53. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 5O1(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />The Kohala Resilience Hub, which is organizing Kupuna Day, is a program of the North Kohala Community Resource <br />Center. Through this program, the organization supports community -building efforts and resilience initiatives, especially <br />those that serve vulnerable populations like kupuna. Kupuna Day aligns with the Center's mission by connecting elders <br />to services and strengthening community ties. <br />* 54.
