50. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the <br />interests in the following areas. Please select all the public benefits to be derived from your County fund request: <br />Culture and the arts <br />Educational concerns <br />* 51. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these funds. <br />Historical Research ($2,500) This investment will fund comprehensive archival research documenting ranching -beekeeping <br />connections dating to 1852, including interviews with local ranchers and beekeepers, We will create a timeline of <br />beekeeping's role in Waimea's agricultural development and produce a research report for both exhibit content and future <br />scholarly use. Visual Materials Production ($500) These funds will design and print historical images and supporting texts to <br />show the earlt ranch -beekeeping evolution, and produce educational materials for school field trip programs. Also <br />developing branded exhibit signage that maintains visual consistency with Phase 1. Hawaii Island Seed Bank ($2,000) We <br />will purchase 500 curated pollinator seed packets from HISB, as part of a visitor giveaway. Each student and visitor will <br />leave with a pollinator seed pack and a local honey stick. We aim for the exhibit to reach 2,500+ visitors during its three- <br />month run and engage 1,200+ students through field trip programming. We will host two community "talk story" events to <br />increase engagement and education that will strengthen community connection to our agricultural heritage. Your support <br />will help us transform historical research into tangible community education, connecting our stories with environmental <br />stewardship. <br />
