In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these <br />funds. <br />With funds to support the Hilo Barrio Fiesta we hope to achieve the following outcomes: 1) Increased knowledge and <br />appreciation for the historic and valuable contributions of Filipinos to Hawaiian and US history. 2) Increased visibility and <br />support for UH Hilo and Hawai'i Community College (CC). 3) Outreach and recruitment to encourage college enrollment <br />at UH Hilo and Hawai'i CC. Increased community and cultural engagement. 4) Education and awareness of issues <br />impacting the Filipino community. 5) Increased student and youth engagement. 6) Community collaboration to promote <br />activities that support the Filipino community. 7) Support and promotion of locally owned vendors. <br />58. The department responsible for oversight of the award will be <br />determined by the district as the resolution for this CRF request is developed. <br />* 60. Briefly describe the deliverables outlined in the contract/agreement for this project. <br />Requested funds from Council District 4 to cover expenses relating to breakfast for volunteers, supplies for children's <br />activities and general event supplies (paper goods, materials for event activities, and decor), and honoraria for <br />performers and exhibitors. <br />
