IPJNL;OF COUNTY OF HAWAI`I •' STATE OF HAWAI`I TE OFHF'� RESOLUTION NO. 32 i 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE BIG ISLAND RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATING TO THE 2025 HAWAI`I ISLAND VETERANS DAY PARADE. WHEREAS, the Big Island Resource Conservation and Development Council (BIRCDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the economic, cultural, and natural environment of Hawaii Island through sponsorship of festivals, programs, and special events unique to this island; and WHEREAS, BIRCDC is requesting funds for expenses related to the 2025 Hawaii Island Veterans Day Parade for security and traffic services provided by off -duty police officers and fiscal sponsorship fees, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting educational concerns, the needs of the poor, youth, aged, and those with physical or emotional disabilities, victims of health or social crises, and the public health and welfare of the people and the environment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Big Island Resource Conservation and Development Council for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,000 OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $1,000 CREDITED TO: 1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $1,000 Public Programs 530115 Misc.
