"the, <br />Charter") provides, in part, that "any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the payment of <br />funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made. <br />or approved by resolution"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development (hereinafter "R&D"),wishes ; u, <br />to enter into a five-year lease agreement for one multifunction copy machine with printer,. .. k, f ; , <br />scanner, and fax capabilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the lease for the existing copy machine currently utilized by R&D -expired ; . - . <br />at the end of September 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, the addition of a new copy machine will allow R&D staff to efficiently. > <br />perform necessary job functions; and <br />WHEREAS, R&D estimates the monthly cost of this agreement to be approximately <br />$120; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that the ' <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement for the purposes <br />hereinabove described. <br />
