In 2,,000 characters or less,, describe the project. <br />The Hawaii Island Community will join Military Veterans and a wide range of nonprofits, businesses, and groups to better <br />lives by participating on Saturday, November 8,. 2025, at 10 a.m. in the 18th Annual Hawaii Island LIVE Veterans Day <br />Parade. The parade's theme,, "Celebrate Service", emphasizes increased involvement of both veterans and the broader <br />community in serving those in need. The parade will be held on the Saturday prior to Veterans Day to maximize <br />participation and volunteer turnout,, while also avoiding conflicts with several long-standing ceremonies traditionally hosted <br />at other island locations on Veterans Day itself. Downtown Hilo has become the home of one of HawaPi's largest Veterans <br />Day parades. The event continues to grow each year and is made possible only through the generous financial and <br />volunteer support of local businesses,, the County, and individual community members. Committee members and <br />volunteers dedicate countless hours to organizing the Hawaii Island Veterans Day Parade., recognizing its importance in <br />honoring Hawaii Island veterans and their families while also strengthening community connections that benefit many <br />others. Each year., new and creative approaches are developed to support veterans and to educate the island community <br />about the tremendous efforts already underway across HawaPi Island. The parade also honors three marshals each year. <br />The Grand Marshal is a Veteran or Veteran group who exemplifies service to others., and this year the role will be filled by <br />Jerry Chang. The Community Parade Marshal recognizes a nonprofit organization that goes to great lengths to support <br />both veterans and the wider community, and this year Vibrant Hawaii will be honored.
