In 2,,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />The Kea'au Middle Parent Teacher Student Association (Kea'au Middle PTSA) is requesting support for its youth <br />engagement events for Kea'au Middle School (KMS) during the 2025-2026 school year, including the Halloween Haunt and <br />Community Resource Fair. These events are designed to bring together the local school community and provide them with <br />opportunities to connect, celebrate,, and access valuable resources. The Halloween Haunt is an annual family -friendly <br />coordinated by Kea'au Middle PTSA. Now in its third year, the event will be held on Friday. October 24, 2025, from 5:00 to <br />7:00 p.m, with activities in the lower parking lot and Shipman Gym area. The evening features trunk -or -treating and <br />booths hosted by various clubs and organizations from Kea'au Middle School and High School. Open to the local school <br />community, the event offers a fun and inclusive evening for the entire "ohana. Teachers create engaging booths where kids <br />can trick:or-treat,often using skills or logic to earn candy or prizes, and attendees vote for their favorite booth before <br />leaving. This year, local food vendors will provide refreshments, inviting the school community to enjoy a festive evening <br />together. The Community Resource Fair brings together representatives from multiple community agencies in one place, <br />allowing families to find the help they need easily. The event will be held on February 21,, 2026, at KMS and features non- <br />profit organizations and community resources providing information and services in areas such as safety, health, housing., <br />food, SNAP, <br />tobacco prevention., keiki IDs, mental health, and more. Food and entertainment vendors are also invited to <br />make the event enjoyable for the whole family. Performances include both school and community acts, with interactive <br />opportunities for attendees. <br />*44, 501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />The overall purpose of the PTSA is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and <br />communities to advocate for all children. <br />*45, In 1,,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />Kea'au Middle PTSA (Kea'au Middle PTSA) serves as the coordinator for both the Halloween Haunt and the Community <br />Resource Fair, <br />which are held at Kea'au Middle School (KMS). Kea'au Middle PTSA operates separately from KMS but works <br />closely with the administration to do the most good. The mission statement guides Kea'au Middle PTSA to engage and <br />empower families and communities to help make every child's potential a reality. Kea'au Middle PTSA creates pathways <br />between school and community with events like these because they are wholesome and allow families to gain something <br />by coming. <br />* 46.
