No. 548Bill No. 96 <br />PLACE: Council Chambers <br />Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 9:00 am <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Policy Committee on Health, Safety, and Well-being, to which was referred Bill No. 96, <br />reports as follows: L <br />Bill No. 96, transmitted by Committee Member James E. Hustace, via Communication No. 548, <br />dated September 26, 2025, amends Chapter 15, Article 7, Section 15-62, of the Hawaii County <br />Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), relating to the Veterans Advisory Committee. <br />Bill No. 96 amends the Veterans Advisory Committee to no longer require one representative <br />each from the American Legion, Big Island National Guard Retirees Association, Big Island <br />Retired Military Association, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as eight at -large members. <br />Committee Member James E. Hustace provided a brief overview.
