Fratinardo of the judicial district of North Hilo —
Hamakua to the Windward Planning Commission. Originally from New Jersey, Mr. Fratinardo
has called Hawai'i home for the past 40 years, embracing the spirit and culture of our island
community.
As a proud Veteran, Mr. Fratinardo dedicated over 20 years of active duty in the United States
Marine Corps, serving bravely in active war zones, including during the Gulf War's Operation
Desert Storm. After his military service, he transitioned to the Hawai'i Police Department, where
he served honorably for more than a decade, furthering his commitment to Hawai'i Island.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Fratinardo is deeply committed to giving back. He is
a former Salary Commissioner, and has been actively involved with several organizations,
including the Hawai'i Experimental Tropical Forest, and the University of Hawai'i Master
Gardener's program.
