In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is excited to announce that they will be hosting this year's Breast Cancer Awareness "Paniola <br />in Palaka" event in Waimea on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Waimea District Park Gym from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This <br />free community event will combine important health education with a fun and engaging atmosphere. Guests can access <br />complimentary health screenings, including glucose testing, blood pressure checks, and BMI assessments —all aimed at <br />promoting proactive wellness. Health experts will also be on hand to provide valuable information, including women's <br />health resources, dental information, and more. The evening will also feature a variety of activities to entertain attendees, <br />such as lively dance performances, creative painting stations, and bead -making. Guests will also have the opportunity to <br />browse a diverse selection of retail and craft vendors offering unique goods, creating a vibrant marketplace. With 1 in <br />every 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer, Hamakua Health Center, Inc., emphasizes the importance of early detection <br />and self -care. The organization reminds wahine in our communities that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves. <br />This event promises an evening of education, entertainment, and community connection, providing valuable health <br />resources and joyful activities. <br />*43. 501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />Provide quality healthcare that is responsive to our patients' and communities' needs. <br />*44. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is connected to this project as we are made up of four community health centers, in which <br />we encourage and recommend all of our patients and community members to get their annual wellness exams. This <br />project is an opportunity to encourage the community to get their wellness exams to get screened for cancers, including <br />breast cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and other illnesses and diseases that can be prevented through early <br />detection at the time of their annual exam. <br />*45.
