REPORT OF THE <br />LEGISLATIVE APPROVALS AND ACQUISITIONS COMMITTEE <br />DATE: November 4, 2025 <br />PLACE: Council Chambers <br />Hilo, Hawaii <br />TIME: 9:01 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Re: Comm. No. 577/Res. No. 370-25 <br />Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution <br />No. 370-25, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 370-25, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Sinclair Salas-Ferguson, via <br />Communication No. 577, dated October 3, 2025, authorizes and directs the disposition and <br />conveyance of a road remnant, being a portion of Tax Map Key: 2-2-037:999, situated at Waidkea, <br />South Hilo, Island, County, and State of Hawaii. <br />The County seeks to dispose of the remnant and convey it to the State, thereby alleviating the <br />County of any liability or maintenance responsibility. <br />Deputy Corporation Counsel Sinclair Salas-Ferguson, and Public Works Engineering Division Deputy <br />Chief Melanie DeMello, P.E., and Consultant Roy Takemoto, were present in chambers.
