Hawaii County Council-25 October 22,2025 <br /> Res. 363-25: TRANSFERS/APPROPRIATES AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITS SAME TO A DESIGNATED <br /> FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE FRIENDS OF HAWAI`I <br /> VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK TO SUPPORT THE VOLCANO <br /> CYMBIDIUM ACRES ROAD MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE'S WILD PIG <br /> CONTROL PROJECT <br /> Transfers $7,000 from the Clerk-Council Services —Contingency Relief account <br /> (Council District 6); and credits to the Department of Research and Development, <br /> Agriculture Other Current Expenses account. <br /> Reference: Comm. 568 <br /> Intr. by: Council Member Galimba <br /> Motion to Approve: Ms. Galimba moved to adopt Res. 363-25. Seconded by <br /> Ms. Villegas. <br /> CHR. INABA: Council Member Galimba. <br /> MS. GALIMBA: Thank you. This is an effort to help a particular community in <br /> Volcano that has a particularly bad wild pig problem. And actually,part of it is <br /> caused by some folks feeding wild pigs on their private property. I think the <br /> whole community has a pretty severe problem. So this is a way to help them with <br /> that and I think it will. So, asking for your support. <br /> CHR. INABA: Council Member Kagiwada. <br /> MS. KAGIWADA: Thank you. Happy to support this. And I hope you'll be <br /> able to maybe share some of the results on how this works out. Because, I'm sure <br /> that many of us have neighborhoods that are impacted by pigs, and would like to <br /> kind of know how to watch the progress of this project.
