We respectfully request that <br />this matter be referred to the appropriate committee. The purpose of this budget amendment is to <br />receive and appropriate additional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) grant funds from the <br />State. These funds will be used to support the opening of ambulance operations at Makalei Fire <br />Station in Kailua-Kona, including six new positions.
