COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 401 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE 2025 MAGIC OF THE SEASONS <br />HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE EVENT. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Education Division <br />provides educational and community -based activities and events to celebrate, perpetuate, and <br />foster the appreciation of our islands' rich multicultural heritage in the arts, history, and the <br />humanities; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2025 Magic of the Seasons — Holiday Open House event is scheduled <br />for December 8th through 12th, 2025, at the Hawaii County Building for the community to <br />enjoy free of charge; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to assist with <br />the purchase of new holiday decorations and supplies, which will serve a public purpose by <br />benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of educational concerns, culture and the arts, <br />the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, and the <br />public health and welfare of our island community; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation to purchase supplies for the 2025 Magic of the Seasons Holiday Open <br />House event. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
