COUNTY OF HAWAF1 <br />STATE OF HAWA14I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 40G 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR THE USE OF THE KONA TROLLEY <br />FOR THE WEST HAWAI`I COUNTY BAND FOR COMMUNITY PARADES. <br />WHEREAS, the West Hawaii County Band, a civic band and sub -unit of the Hawaii <br />County Band, is comprised of local musicians in Kona that perform at monthly concerts, civic <br />events, cultural events, and parades on the west side of Hawaii Island; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for the rental of <br />the Kona Trolley to transport the band musicians and their instruments to perform at community <br />parades in Kona, including the Kona Christmas Parade scheduled for December 13, 2025, and <br />the King Kamehameha Parade scheduled for June 6, 2026; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation to pay for the use of the Kona Trolley for the West Hawaii County Band <br />for community parades. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,689.20 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />1010-51-50102 Department of Parks and Recreation <br />Hawaii County Band OCE <br />530115 Misc.
