In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />This project aims to provide comprehensive development for youth softball players aged 14-17 by integrating both focused <br />training sessions and competitive tournament play. Scheduled for February 12-14, 2026, at Billy Kenoi District Park, the <br />tournament will take place over three days: Thursday starting at 1 PM, Friday and Saturday beginning at 9 AM. This <br />approach allows players not only to master fundamental skills but also to develop higher -level game intelligence, teamwork, <br />and sportsmanship in a real competitive environment. By combining skill -building with tournament experience, the project <br />supports holistic athletic and personal growth in underserved youth, fostering discipline, resilience, and community <br />engagement. <br />* 51. 501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />The Lo i Collective Foundation objective is to aid all ages with physical, cultural and psychological development, preparing all <br />for life. <br />* 52. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />The Lo'i Collective Foundation (TLCF) is thrilled to partner with organizations that host community -centered events for <br />individuals of all ages and backgrounds. By supporting this tournament, TLCF continues its commitment to serving <br />under -served populations —especially Native Hawaiian youth —through initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, youth <br />development, and inclusive opportunities for sport and recreation across HawaPi Island. <br />* 53. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the <br />interests in the following areas. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these funds. <br />With these funds, we aim to foster the holistic development of young athletes by improving their softball skills, <br />understanding of team dynamics, and mental resilience. We expect participants to show measurable improvements in <br />fundamentals such as hitting, fielding, and pitching through pre- and post -event assessments. Additionally, the tournament <br />environment will build critical soft skills including leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Long-term, we hope this <br />experience helps prepare some players for collegiate -level competition or future career pathways in sports, while enhancing <br />community connection and healthy lifestyles among youth in the Puna district. <br />
