In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />The 29th Annual KWXX Ho'olaule'a is one of Hilo's largest community celebrations, transforming Downtown Hilo into a <br />vibrant hub of music, culture, and connection. This free, family -friendly event will take place on Saturday, January 17, <br />2026, celebrating both contemporary and traditional Hawaiian entertainment with more than 20 local bands, artists, <br />and halau hula across four live stages. From 5:00 to 10:30 p.m., the streets of Hilo come alive with non-stop <br />performances, offering audiences the chance to experience some of HawaPi s best musicians and dancers in the heart <br />of town. Beyond the music, the Ho'olaulda also highlights the Flavors and creativity of the island through an array of <br />food and craft vendors. Attendees can enjoy delicious local favorites and browse unique handmade goods while <br />strolling through the historic streets. This blend of live entertainment, local cuisine, and artisan crafts creates an <br />atmosphere that celebrates both the cultural richness and community spirit of Hawai'i Island. Now in its 29th year, the <br />KWXX Ho'olaule'a continues a cherished tradition that draws thousands of residents and visitors from across the state. <br />The event not only provides free access to top -tier local entertainment but also strengthens community ties, supports <br />local businesses and artists, and showcases the cultural pride of Hilo. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />KWXX FM, a local Hilo radio station dedicated to promoting Hawari Island's culture and community, is hosting its 29th <br />Annual Ho'olaule'a on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in downtown Hilo. The Hilo Downtown Improvement Foundation, a <br />501(c)(3) nonprofit that financially supports the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association, is partnering with KWXX FM <br />to present this event. The Foundation helps execute this public celebration, which raises awareness of the culture and <br />history of Hawari Island while supporting a vibrant downtown Hilo. <br />* 51.
