KNOWLEDGE <br />GROUNDS <br />AND <br />CONNECTS <br />US <br />TO <br />POHOIKI <br />Community Education <br />Give keiki, residents, and visitors educational and <br />interpretive opportunities and space to learn from the <br />'aina as well as the mo'olelo (stories) and history of <br />the place. <br />Having community and 'ohana (family) -based <br />programs to educate residents and visitors about the <br />history and significance of Pohoiki will help protect <br />'ohana's private property and respecting their space. <br />Public awareness can also help to deter inappropriate <br />and unwanted behavior, promote actions that are <br />respectful to community and place, and enhance <br />security in the area. <br />Placemaking through signage and trails in the area <br />can have a lasting and impactful presence. <br />
