Miura of Council District 1 to the Water Board. <br />Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members, <br />I am pleased to submit the nomination of Mr. Colin E. Miura to serve on the Water Board, <br />representing Council District 1. <br />Mr. Miura is a proud graduate of Waiakea High School and Hawai'i Community College, where <br />he earned an associate degree in marketing. His dedication to East Hawai'i began early, <br />starting his career at KTA Superstores in 1980, where he worked his way up from bagging <br />groceries and stocking shelves to a distinguished 44-year career with the company, retiring as <br />Waimea Store Manager. <br />Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Miura is deeply dedicated to giving back. He has <br />been actively involved with organizations such as Kamuela Hongwanji, the Waimea Elementary <br />School PTA, and the Waimea Futures Community Weaving Hui, among many others. His <br />contributions have touched countless lives, and his leadership has strengthened the bonds <br />within our community. <br />As an astute planner, a problem solver, and a proven leader, I am honored to nominate Mr. <br />Miura to the Water Board. I am confident that his experience and dedication will be invaluable <br />assets to our island and its future. <br />If confirmed, Mr. Miura will serve a term to end on December 31, 2030.
