In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />To teach martial arts classes at Honomu Gym to community members, instilling confidence, self-discipline, and physical <br />fitness. The program provides a safe and supportive environment for disadvantaged youth, offering a positive outlet <br />and a sense of belonging. By engaging youth in structured physical activity and mentoring, the program promotes <br />personal growth, community well-being, and public safety. <br />*52.501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />We strive to provide resources to overcome poverty, help our youth, and promote safety, health, and prosperity for all. <br />* 53. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />The organization works with families and youth in Papa'ikou, Pepdekeo, and Honomu, including hosting classes at <br />Honomu Gym, to make their communities safer, healthier, and more prosperous. Its programs provide direct support to <br />disadvantaged youth, reinforcing the mission to improve the lives of local families. <br />* 54. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the <br />interests in the following areas. Please select all the public benefits to be derived from your County fund <br />request: <br />Needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities <br />56. The program fosters community engagement, provides a <br />positive alternative for at -risk youth, and directly benefits the public by promoting health, safety, and social well-being. <br />
