In this case, <br />Goodwill pays the intern's wages using WIOA funds, allowing the County to evaluate the <br />worker's performance for a future permanent hire at no cost to the County budget. <br />What is the working relationship with organizations like Hawaii Community College and Alu Like? <br />Designated as Core Partners under the WIOA state plan. Legally required to coordinate services amongst <br />each other based on WIOA funding. <br />Hawaii Community College (HCC) <br />o Status: HCC is an Eligible Training Provider (ETP), and a Core Partner under the Carl D. <br />Perkins Act. <br />o Relationship: If a WIOA participant needs a specific certificate (like Automotive <br />Technology or Culinary Arts), Goodwill/AJC uses the WIOA Individual Training <br />Accounts (ITAs) to pay HCC directly for the student's tuition and books. <br />o Integration: HCC staff sit on the Workforce Development Board to ensure the college's <br />curriculum aligns with WIOA Title I. <br />ALU LIKE, Inc. <br />o Status: ALU LIKE manages the Section 166 (Native American Programs) of WIOA. <br />Relationship: Operates a co -enrollment model.
