COUNTY OF HAWAI`I RESOLUTION NO. STATE OF HAWAII 4GG ZV A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO BIG ISLAND MEDIATION, INC., DBA WEST HAWAI°I MEDIATION CENTER TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS PEACE CIRCLE TRAINING. WHEREAS, Big Island Mediation, Inc., DBA West Hawaii Mediation Center (WHMC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower individuals, organizations, and communities to deal with conflict by providing mediation, facilitation, and education services; and WHEREAS, WHMC is requesting funds to assist with expenses for trainer fees covering 24 hours of a qualified trainer's time to prepare and deliver a three-day training, as well as staff support covering 24 hours of staff time to organize, administer, and support the three-day training, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of educational concerns, the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, and victims of health or social crises; now, therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI°I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Big Island Mediation, Inc., DBA West Hawaii Mediation Center for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $3,000 OUT AND FROM: 1010-I1-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief $3,000 CREDITED TO 1010-21-27102 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $3,000 Prosecuting Attorney OCE 530115 Misc.
