In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />The East Hawaii Cultural Center's second annual Youth Arts Series Festival (YAS Fest) will be held on Saturday, <br />March 14, 2026, at Kalakaua Park in Hilo. YAS Fest is a vibrant celebration of youth arts on Hawaii Island. The <br />festival brings together local organizations dedicated to providing arts opportunities for keiki and teens from around <br />the island. The event aims to spotlight the many creative outlets available to young people in our community and <br />celebrate the importance of arts education for all. YAS Fest is a free, family -friendly event featuring a wide range of <br />hands-on arts activities, live performances, informational booths, and more. <br />*48. 501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />To be an inclusive platform for culture and the arts. Through visual and performing arts and education, we give voice <br />to our diverse communities and provide a forum for inquiry into their experience and histories. <br />* 49. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />East Hawai'i Cultural Center's youth education program, the Youth Arts Series, organizes the Youth Arts Series <br />Festival to celebrate youth arts education in our community. <br />* 50. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the <br />interests in the following areas.
