COUNTY OF HAWAI`I :• STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />477 26 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF LATER FISCAL <br />YEARS TO ENTER INTO A MULTI -YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT FOR ONE <br />MULTIFUNCTION COPY MACHINE TO BE USED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii (hereinafter "the <br />Charter") provides, in part, that "any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of <br />funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made <br />or approved by resolution"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development (hereinafter "the <br />Department") wishes to enter into a multi -year lease agreement, with a tern of five years, for one <br />multifunction copy machine; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department estimates the monthly cost of this lease agreement to be <br />$105; and <br />WHEREAS, this copy machine will be utilized by County personnel within the <br />Department at the West Hawaii Civic Center; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI that the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi -year lease agreement with a term of five years <br />for the purposes hereinabove described. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in accordance with Section 10-11 of the Charter, <br />sufficient funds be budgeted in later fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the <br />County under the terms of the lease agreement. <br />
