COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAI`I s„t� of Hr RESOLUTION NO. 485 26 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAMAKUA HEALTH CENTER, INC., FOR THE 2026 HONOKA`A WESTERN WEEK FESTIVAL. WHEREAS, Hamakua Health Center, Inc. (HHC), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides quality healthcare and is responsive to the needs of its patients and the community; and WHEREAS, HHC is partnering with the FIonoka`a Business Association to organize the 2026 Honoka`a Western Week Festival, to be held May 16-25, and is requesting funds for public outreach and the following equipment rentals: audio-visual sound system, lighting, stage, tents, portable toilets, and trash dumpsters, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and the arts, educational concerns, the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, the public health and welfare of the people and the environment, victims of crimes, and victims of health or social crises; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983.(2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Hamakua Health Center, Inc., for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $5,000 OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief CREDITED TO: 1010-51-50302 Department of Parks and Recreation P&R Admin OCE 530115 Misc.
