„tr as p <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 493 26 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO RETURN GRANT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY <br />AWARDED BY RESOLUTION NO.248-25. <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 248-25, adopted by the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />on August 6, 2025, transferred an appropriation of $5,000 from Contingency Relief funds to the <br />Department of Research and Development; and <br />WHEREAS, this appropriation was intended to be utilized to award a grant to North <br />Kohala Community Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for expenses relating to <br />the Kohala Cares Project; and <br />WHEREAS, a grant agreement with North Kohala Community Resource Center could <br />not be executed within the required timeframe; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development now wishes to return the <br />unawarded funds back to the Council; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI that the <br />following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-16122 Dept of Research & Development — <br />Agriculture R&D OCE <br />CREDITED TO: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — <br />Contingency Relief <br />
