RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOSPICE OF HILO FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS 22ND ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF LIFE. WHEREAS, Hospice of Hilo (doing business as Hawaii Care Choices) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides medical, social, and spiritual services for terminally ill patients at their end of life, as well as providing support to their families and caregivers; and WHEREAS, Hospice of Hilo is requesting funds for expenses related to its 22nd Annual Celebration of Life for portable toilet rentals, sound and stage lighting rentals, DJ services, stage d6cor and Obon tower construction, stage tent rentals, and fire retardant tent rentals, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and the arts, educational concerns, the needs of the poor, youth, aged, and those with physical or emotional disabilities, victims of health or social crises, and the public health and welfare of the people and the environment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Hospice of Hilo for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $3,040 OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief 1010-51-50302 Department of Parks and Recreation P&R Admin OCE 530115 Misc.
