COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. ,14 2G <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING <br />ATTORNEY TO SUPPORT A TRAINING ON ADVANCED STRANGULATION AND <br />SUFFOCATION INVESTIGATIONS AND RECOGNITION OF STAGED AND <br />ALTERED CRIME SCENES. <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is hosting a free training event on <br />March 24, 2026, at the Arc of Hilo on advanced strangulation and suffocation investigations and <br />recognition of staged and altered crime scenes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is requesting funds to provide bentos <br />for training attendees, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting <br />the interests of educational concerns and victims of crimes; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br />Prosecuting Attorney to support a training on advanced strangulation and suffocation <br />investigations and recognition of staged and altered crime scenes. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />1010-21-27102 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney <br />Prosecuting Atty OCE <br />550341 Misc.
