<v,OF <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />526 26 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF LATER FISCAL <br />YEARS TO ENTER INTO A MULTI -YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT FOR ONE <br />MULTIFUNCTION COPY MACHINE TO BE USED BY THE OFFICE OF THE <br />COUNTY AUDITOR. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii (hereinafter "the <br />Charter") provides, in part, that "any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the payment of <br />funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made <br />or approved by resolution"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the County Auditor (hereinafter "the Office") wishes to enter <br />into a multi -year lease agreement, with a term of five years, for one multifunction copy machine; <br />and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Office estimates the annual cost of this lease agreement to be $2,000; <br />WHEREAS, this copy machine will be utilized in Hilo by County personnel within the <br />Office of the County Auditor; and <br />WHEREAS, the lease agreement for the copy machine that is currently utilized by the <br />Office expired on January 30, 2026; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAFI that the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi -year lease agreement with a term of five years <br />for the purposes hereinabove described. <br />
