In 2,000 characters or less, describe the project. <br />The 14th Annual Pride Parade and Festival is a free, family -friendly event open to all ages, held in Downtown Hilo, with <br />activities centered around the Mo'oheau Park bandstand. The event features a lineup of entertainment and activities, <br />including live performances by queer artists, two entertainment areas, food vendors, keiki activities, community <br />resources, local merchants, and designated ally and family -friendly zones. The festival celebrates diversity, inclusion, <br />acceptance, and equality, creating a vibrant and welcoming space for the community. <br />*44.501(c)(3) Mission Statement <br />To proactively engage in creating an inclusive and diverse queer community through aloha, leadership, resources, <br />services, and education. <br />* 45. In 1,000 characters or less, explain how the 501(c)(3) is connected to the project. <br />Equality HI is one of the few organizations based in Hawari County that supports the LGBTQIA+ community and <br />participates annually in the Hilo Pride Parade and Festival. The organization provides fiscal sponsorship to Hawaii <br />Island LGBTQ Pdde's Annual Pride Parade and Festival, which brings together members of the LGBTQ community to <br />affirm their fundamental rights and place in Hawari County. <br />*46. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these <br />funds. <br />The Pride Parade and Festival brings queer culture into public view and creates a safe and joyous space for the <br />LGBTQIA+ community to learn about resources and cultivate a sense of belonging. Measurable outcomes include <br />improved traffic safety, provision of sound for live music stages, and distribution of giveaways to festival attendees. <br />
