REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br />DATE: May 4, 2026 <br />PLACE: Council Chambers <br />Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 12:49 p.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Its or,i IaMe :MA I8041M <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 153, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 153, transmitted by Research and Development Director Benson Medina via <br />Communication No. 863, dated April 9, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 25-45, as amended, the <br />Operating Budget of the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. <br />This bill appropriates revenues in the State Grants — Coffee Berry Borer/Coffee Leaf Rust <br />Pesticide Subsidy Program account ($150,000); and appropriates the same to the Coffee Berry <br />Borer/Coffee Leaf Rust Pesticide Subsidy Program account.
