INTRODUCTION <br /> 1. The United States Environmental Protection Agency("EPA") and the County of <br /> Hawaii ("Respondent")voluntarily enter into this Amended Administrative Order on Consent <br /> ("Consent Order"or"AOC"). <br /> 2. Upon the Effective Date of this Consent Order, as defined in section XVI below, <br /> this Consent Order supersedes the Revised Administrative Order on Consent for County of <br /> Hawai`i Pahala and Na`alehu LCC Closure Projects which was effective August 22, 2022 and <br /> which revised the Administrative Order on Consent in the Matter of County of Hawai'i issued <br /> June 22,2017("2017 AOC"). <br /> 3.
