The amendments are <br /> shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the content of Resolution No. 577-26;material to <br /> be deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be inserted is underscored.A copy of the new <br /> draft of this resolution that would result if these amendments were adopted is not attached. <br /> Resolution No. 577-26,which amends the Rules by adding a rule,is amended by amending the <br /> primary resolving clause to read as follows: <br /> "RULE NO._ <br /> NATIVE HAWAIIAN LAW TRAINING <br /> 1. [Each]Within twenty-four months of taking office, each Council Member shall <br /> enroll in and complete the training course administered by the Office of Hawaiian <br /> Affairs under the Hawaii Revised Statutes, section 10-42,relating to Native <br /> Hawaiian and Hawaiian traditional and customary rights,natural resources and <br /> access rights, and the public trust. <br /> 2. This rule does not apply to any Council Member who has completed[the <br /> aforementioned training during a previous term on the Council.]this training <br /> previously,whether in a private or public capacity. <br /> 3.
