G00 26 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO BIG ISLAND <br /> SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNCIL FOR ITS 12TH ANNUAL SUMMER JAM. <br /> WHEREAS, Big Island Substance Abuse Council is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization <br /> whose mission is to inspire individuals to reclaim and enrich their lives by utilizing innovative <br /> resources and harnessing the strengths within each person; and <br /> WHEREAS, Big Island Substance Abuse Council is requesting funds for expenses <br /> related to its 12th Annual Summer Jam, including tent and sound system rentals, security and <br /> traffic controls, signage and outreach materials,youth activity supplies, refreshments, and event <br /> insurance, coordination, operations, and supplies, which will serve a public purpose by <br /> benefiting, improving, or promoting culture and the arts, educational concerns,the needs of the <br /> poor,youth,the aged,those with physical or emotional disabilities, and the public health and <br /> welfare of the people and the environment,victims of crimes and health or social crises; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br /> accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br /> amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the <br /> Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Big Island Substance Abuse Council for the <br /> expenses and purposes identified in"Exhibit A,"a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 1010-11-10191 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $2,000 <br /> Public Programs <br /> 530115 Misc.
