Proposed HSAC Executive Committee Meeting Dates for 1997 <br /> The following proposed HSAC Executive Committee Meeting Dates for 1997 were <br /> scheduled: <br /> February 14, 1997 (Friday) <br /> March 14, 1997 (Friday) <br /> April 11, 1997 (Friday) <br /> May 21, 1997 (WIR Conference, Kauai) <br /> June 1997 (Year-End Conference, Hawaii) <br /> August 22, 1997 (Friday) <br /> September 26, 1997 (Friday) <br /> November 14, 1997 (Friday) <br /> December 10, 1997 (Mid-Year Conference) <br /> D. HSAC Budget and Annual Dues Estimate <br /> The Executive Committee reviewed a proposed HSAC Budget and Annual Dues <br /> Estimate for FY 1997-1998 by Secretary-Treasurer AI Smith. For purposed of <br /> annual budgeting, it is recommended that counties anticipate an annual HSAC dues <br /> assessment of $8,000 for fiscal year 1997-1998. This assessment represents an <br /> increase of $1,000 over the assessment for fiscal year 1996-1997. <br /> Kauai, host of the WIR '97 Conference, reported that private fund raising and <br /> sponsorships for the WIR are very promising. If this be the case, the HSAC subsidy <br /> of WIR'97 will be minimized and a favorable fund balance will be carried over into <br /> FY 1997-1998. With this scenario, the annual HSAC dues assessment would be <br /> less than $8,000. <br /> <br /> VII. COMMUNICATIONS <br /> The following communication were placed on file: <br /> 1. From President Mansho to HSAC Executive Committee Members, dated December <br /> 9, 1996, regarding a scheduled meeting with the State Governor. <br /> 2. From President Mansho and Secretary-Treasurer Smith to Coopers & Lybrand, <br /> L.L.P., dated December 17, 1996, regarding the annual audit of HSAC's financial <br /> statements. <br /> 3. From President Mansho to the Honorable Joseph M. Souki, State Speaker of the <br /> House, dated December 23, 1996, regarding consideration and introduction of the <br /> 1997 HSAC Legislative Package. <br /> 5 <br /> <br />
