We originally received funds from Act 68, <br /> Frae Tularlr,g .n the State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Employment <br /> R.eding and Training Fund beginning Sept. 1, 1992 through August 30, 1993. <br /> Since that time, we have remained open with small grants and <br /> . Main generous personal donations from the community- <br /> • wmmg The main focus of the Kailua Learning Center is to provide a locally <br /> accessible meeting area for one-on-one free instruction by volunteer <br /> • Speaking tutors in the areas of reading and mach improvement, English as a <br /> ' ProGEO Second Language, basic writing and oral communication skills <br /> improvement and computer assisted learning. Since September, <br /> Engnan as . secantl 1992 we have had over 300 adult students registered and taking part <br /> Languaga in the various programs.
