guidelines in the area, additional water can be made available from an exrsting 18-mch <br /> waterline along East Pusiruilco Avenue fronting Parcel 14, with a connection size subject <br /> to review and approval during the construction design phase of the proposed <br /> development. The Department of Water Supply requuros the applicant to submit a water <br /> commitment deposit and as anticipated maximum daily water usage as recommended by <br /> a registered engineer. <br /> 23 Drainage: Acwrdmg to the Department of Transportation, because the property is <br /> within a major floodway, drainage concerns should be totally resolved prior to approval <br /> of the request. No improvcmenta will be allowed which interfere with existmg storm <br /> drains within the State highway right-of--way or increase storm runoff onto Kanoelehua <br /> Avenue or Puainako Street. The Department of Transportation Highways Division <br /> Hawaii District Office will review and approve any construction aad grading plans which <br /> affect drainage on the properties. The Depermicnt of Public Works requires the <br /> preparation of a drainage study, and the recommended drainage system should be <br /> constructed mating the approval of the department. ]f dry wells are included within the <br /> subject development, an Underground Injection Control (LJIC) permit may be required <br /> from the Department of Health. <br /> 24. Wastewater: There is no municipal sewer system in the area. The applicant proposes <br /> several alternatives: 1) construct an on-site private treatment plant, such as a septic <br /> system, meeting with the approval of the Department of Health and Department of Public <br /> Works; 2) extend the Count's line at Makaala Street to the subject site; 3) hook up to Uie <br /> Prince Kuhio Shopping Plaza's private system. All of these options will be more <br /> carefully examined during the subsequent pernvtting phases of the project. <br /> 25. Other EueatJal Utllltles and Service: Electrical and telephone services are or will be <br /> made available to the site.
