COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 28 01 <br /> RESOLUTION CREATING A DIRECTOR POSITION AND A PRIVATE SECRETARY POSITION <br /> FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, a proposed amendment to the Hawaii County Charter to establish a Department <br /> of Environmental Management was submitted to the voters of the County of Hawaii on November 7, <br /> 2000, and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-156 Hawaii Revised Statutes, the County Clerk has <br /> certified that the proposed amendment was approved by a majority of the voters voting upon said <br /> amendment, and <br /> WHEREAS, Salary Ordinance No 00-65 is being amended to add a Director of Environmental <br /> Management position, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Environmental Management would be in need of having a private <br /> secretary, and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1 3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter states that the Mayor has <br /> <br /> the power to "Create positions for which appropriations have been made by the council <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> that a Director of Environmental Management position, A-18, and a Private Secretary, SR-20, <br /> position be created <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds are available in the Department of Environmental <br /> Management Regular Salaries and Wages account (010-671-5671 01), following transfer from Sewer <br /> Fund <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Finance, <br /> Environmental Management, and Civil Service Departments <br /> <br />
