COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 34 O1 <br /> RESOLUTION CHANGING TIME ELEMENT OF A RECREATION SPECIALIST II 1/2T TO FULL <br /> TIME <br /> WHEREAS, it is vital in abiding with the current Amencans with Disabilities Act (ADA) laws in <br /> accommodating children and adults with special needs in the Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> activities and program for the entire island, and <br /> WHEREAS, Position no HC4150, Recreation Specialist II 1/2T, SR-22, currently serves as the <br /> liaison between the County and the parents of children with special needs participating in Recreation <br /> activities and programs, and <br /> WHEREAS, this position will train the Parks and Recreation staff on a regular basis as the <br /> number of changes in the ADA law increases, and <br /> WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of this position from half time to full time, the <br /> additional four (4) hours a day will allow this employee to service the entire Parks and Recreation <br /> Divisions which works with children and adults with special needs, and <br /> WHEREAS, that there are sufficient funds available in the Recreation Division Regular <br /> Salaries and Wages account (010-500-5507 01-011) <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> that Position No HC4150, Recreation Specialist II 1/2T, SR-22, be changed to full time <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Departments <br /> of Parks 8 Recreation, Finance and Civil Service <br /> <br />
