COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 40 01 <br /> <br /> NAh4fNG OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Haw•ai`t is authorized to adopt the street names <br /> <br /> of unnamed roadways m the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22, <br /> Hawat`t County Code, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Comnusston at its regular meeting of December 15, 2000, <br /> <br /> approved the names for the certain unnamed roadways within the P5`auhau Village, Ham5kua, <br /> <br /> Hawat't, now• therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAW.4I`I that said <br /> <br /> roadways, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of [his Resolution, be named as follows <br /> P3`auhau Street - after the ahupuaa (place name), literally meaning <br /> tribute enclosure <br /> Ho`olauna Loop - meaning to be friendly <br /> Ho`olauna Place - meaning to be frtendly <br /> Ho`olapa Lane - meantng to form a ridge <br /> Ho`omau Street - meaning to continue the tradition <br /> Ho`ou`t Street - meantng to beautify <br /> Ho'olokaht Street - meantng to make peace and unity <br /> Pua`olena Street - meaning the `olena flower, the flower of the turmeric <br /> <br />
