PURSUANT TO <br /> HRS 46-7, FOR A HAWAI`1 DARE•DOE GRANT <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Education has authonzed funding for expenses to <br /> <br /> conduct other related projects. and. <br /> WHEREAS. the Hawat'i County Police Department is ready and w~llmg to proceed w•rth <br /> <br /> its obligations for the DARE DOE Grant, <br /> l'~'HEREAS, Haw•ai`~ Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requues that county departments <br /> <br /> obtain the consent of the Council to enter into agreement wuh the federal or state governments <br /> respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by luw• to fum~sh, expend and <br /> recene and funds or other assistance m connection with projects being or to be undertaken <br /> pursuant to those powers <br /> \O~k', THEREFORE. BE I"f RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HA~~'AI`I, that the Oftice of the Mayor is authonzed to enter into an agreement with the <br /> Department of Education.
